Shortly, they encounter a shipwright, Frankly. Who initially resents Straw Hats, but later becomes their friend and a crew member, whom they can trust with their life.

This Arc reveals more about the sinister plans of the World Government through the Cipher Pol. They are trying to get Pluton, an ancient weapon on their hands. 09. Impel Down Arc

Impel Down is the Twenty-first story Arc and takes place in the Summit War Saga. The Arc revolves around Luffy trying to save Luffy’s brother Ace from the 6th level of Impel Down, which is an underwater prison. He manages to save Ace thanks to Boa Hancock and everyone, including the people who once stood in his way. Luffy encounters Buggy the Clown, Mr. 2, and Mr. 3. Luffy faces new characters that have evil aura and killing intent, one of which is Magellan. He is the user of Doku Doku no Mi, a Devil Fruit that gives him the ability to create and control any type of poison. In a fierce battle with Luffy, Magellan finishes him with a powerful strike. Instead of killing him, he shows mercy to Luffy, but still punishes him by throwing him into the 5th Level of Impel Down. In the end, Luffy somehow manages to set himself and achieve what they were aiming for.

This Arc challenges Luffy’s resolve and showcases his dedication to never giving up.

08. The Whole Cake Island Arc

The Whole Cake Arc is the recently finished Arc of the One Piece series. The title of Whole Cake Island Arc hints more than enough about what this Arc is going to cover. The whole Cake Island Arc is the twenty-ninth Arc of the series.

The Arc narrates the tale of Straw Hat and their friends rescuing Sanji from the grasp of Big Mom. Who has held Sanji captive and has intentions of making him marry her daughter, Charlotte Pudding. The marriage between the two had a meaning, it was set up by both families to form a political alliance, that would generate the influence and power they always aspired to have. The Arc focuses more on entertaining viewers with humorous moments rather than pushing the same tight plotline brimming with an extreme and punchy story.

07. Dressrosa Arc

Dressrosa Arc is the Twenty-Seventh Arc of the series. The Straw Hats encounter Dressrosa, an island while on their journey to the New World. The island is under the control of the warlord, Donquixote Doflamingo, the captain of Donquixote Pirates.

The Arc reveals more or less about Straw Hat trying to retrieve the Mera Mera no Mi Ace’s Devil fruit that is put up as the winning reward for a tournament by Donquixote Doflamino. Later, Luffy also finds out that the Island’s humans were turned into toys, and are enslaved. With more precious lives and Devil Fruit on the line, Straw Hat and their friends engage in a fierce battle with Donquixote Doflamino. In the end, they managed to throw his influence off the Island and defeat him with some effort. Luffy and his crew successfully retrieve the Mera Mera no Mi Devil Fruit as well as save the enslaved people of the Island.

This conflict ended with a happy ending and the people of Dressrosa finally acquired the peace they always aspired to have.

06. The Alabasta Arc

The Alabasta is the Eleventh Arc in the One Piece series and the final Arc in the Alabasta Saga. The Arc in general elaborates on the adventure of Straw Hat Pirates traveling to Vivi’s homeland, Arabasta Kingdom, to return her safe and sound to her people. The Straw Hat slowly progresses up and at last, reaches the desert Kingdom of Arabasta.

There, the Straw Hat learns about Crocodile’s ultimate Plan, One of the seven Warlords of Sea, who seeks Poneglyph and can attain only by using Nico Robin. Shortly, The Straw Hats reaches, Arabasta, and comes face to face against the Crocodile. They expose his plan to the people of Arabasta, how he was using the desert kingdom’s government for his benefit.

This makes Crocodile furious and the clash between him and Straw Pirates commences, and him being the main antagonist of the Arc, it concludes when the crew beats him to a pulp. Upon the end of this conflict, the war between Royal Guards and Rebels also closes. The Straw Hat also ejects Princess Vivi to her hometown and they also get an addition to the crew, a new party member, Nico Robin.

05. Arlong Park Arc

Arlong Park Arc is the fifth Arc in the chronological order. It begins with Nami escaping from Luffy, and his friends after stealing their ship, the infamous, Going Merry. Nami bumps into the Arlong Park. The fans remain shocked after finding out her true motive and her being a part of the Arlong Pirates group. The Park is ruled over by Arlong and his pirate crew and they have held Luffy’s friend Captive.

Later, Luffy with his friends, Zoro, and Sanji arrive at the Island. Luffy stepping foot on the Arlong Park heads straight to confront Arlong. Moreover, Nami also realizes the value of her new friends and finds them to be their new home. She immediately betrays Arlong and starts helping Straw Hat.

The fight between Luffy became one of the most memorable ones, this was the first fight where we saw Luffy showcasing some of his real strength. In the beginning Arlong exchanges a few punches with his arrogant demeanor, but Luffy finishes him off with the power of Gomu Gomu no Mi.

Their fight ends with Luffy being victorious, and the crew departing successfully from the Park.

04. Punk Hazard Arc

Punk Hazard is the twenty-sixth Arc of the series. This Arc starts with Straw Hat finding out a mysterious Samurai attacking the residents of Punk Hazard, and they are seeking help from outside. Upon hearing this, Luffy sets his eyes straight on the Island to save innocent lives and investigate the cause of the disturbance.

Upon arrival, the Straw Hat Pirates face the Vice Admiral of Marines, Smoker. Smoker is not a bad guy, he is an honest marine, who only desires peace in the world. The real cause of all the commotion turns out to be Caesar Clown, a former colleague of Vegapunk, and he is the one conducting illegal experiments. Caesar Clown also had a bunch of kids trapped in his lab that he was going to use for his experiments.

Both marines and Straw Hats join parties and this Arc ends with them putting an end to the tale of Caesar Clown.

03. Enies Lobby Arc (Undeniably Deserves the Number 3 Spot in Top 10 Best One Piece Arcs)

Enies Lobby Arc is the sixteenth Arc. It unveils many secrets and explores many character’s pasts. This Arc begins with the assault on Enies Lobby, all the present members of Straw Hat, the Franky family, and the Galley-La Company plan an assault on the Enies Lobby, an island that is in possession of the World Government, and hundreds of Marines serve there.

While fighting Luffy encounters various individuals, one of which is Blueno from the Cipher Pol. He gives Luffy a hard time, and with no way to sort out this fight. Luffy somehow still manages to Pull off his Gear 2 form for the very first time. With his newfound powers, Luffy ends the battle, being a clear victor.

This is the twenty-second Arc of the series, it’s one of the major Arcs of the story. The Arc continues from where the series left off previously, with the Straw Hat pirates trying to save Ace from being executed. They tried to get to him before he was transferred to the executing stand but failed. The series picks on Ace’s past and tells the events that occurred in his life.

This Arc also reveals the Legendary Pirate Edward “Whitebeard” Newman. We see him and his companions fighting marines, which benefits Luffy as he sneaks past the defense and successfully helps Ace. Both Luffy and Whitebeard had different motives but made their move that left an impression on the Marines. Wano Country Arc is the greatest Arc of the whole series, it is the longest Arc with 191 episodes. It also features ferocious battles, that are bread and butter for the fans.

The Arc begins with the Straw Hat Pirates arriving at the Wano Country, a land that is isolated from the whole world. The country is ruled by Beasts Pirates, and Kaido, one of the Four Emperors, who defeats Luffy in a single punch on their first encounter. Another organization that goes against Beasts Pirates is the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance, an alliance formed by Straw Hats and Hearts Pirates. Their goal is to helps the country from the corrupt Shogun, Beasts Pirates, and Kaido. The alliance, well prepared launches an all-out attack at Kaido’s place. The clash between both sides is considered to be one of the greatest fights of the decade.

With that many episodes, you are bound to get exciting fights. Especially, Luffy vs Kaido, where Luffy pays him back for his evil and cruelty, by making him eat sand.
