What is the story of Solo Leveling?

The Solo Leveling is a Korean webtoon Mahnwa based on a popular genre of dungeons where the players dive deep into mysterious dungeons, Sung Jinwoo is the MC of Solo Leveling and he is rated as a weak Hunter from the start. Solo Leveling has many characters with superhuman abilities, but Sung Jin Woo’s Powers and abilities are something we can’t even scale properly! The whole story starts when an event known as ‘Gates’ takes place in the human world, these gates were portals to different dimensions and were filled with ferocious monsters.

Humans started becoming hunters and their job was to hunt down these beings. The war between Humans and Monsters was never-ending, the hunter’s job was to keep leveling up as they kept defeating more monsters in the dungeons.

Solo Leveling is written by Chu Gong and Illustrated by Gi Si-Ryeong and Dubu. Sung Jin Woo has insane powers that have made many anime fans fall in love with him, the same old question pops into everyone’s mind “But, can he beat Goku?” Well, we don’t know about that yet. Sung Jin Woo is rated as an “E-Rank Hunter” he is considered to be on the weak side.

He always had issues facing the monsters and somehow managed to stay alive with his comrade’s help. When Sung Jin Woo gets selected by ‘System’ that’s when his life changes, his party enters a dungeon where they all die except Sung Jin Woo! He becomes the Sole Survivor of the party and gains godly powers, now he can use the monsters he can defeat in future battles.

Sung Jin Woo’s powers are also known as ‘Shadows’ This power is similar to Megumi Fushiguro from Jujutsu Kaisen who summons his Shadow Techniques. After this even our Protagonist starts getting hold of his new powers, defeating monsters becomes a piece of cake for him. Let’s dig in more about his powerful abilities, also are you watching the Solo Leveling Anime?

Sung Jin Woo’s Powers and Abilities

Player System: After being the sole survivor of his party and almost dying at the hands of a powerful being, Sung Jin Woo’s Powers skyrocket and make him the greatest hunter humanity has ever seen. He gains the ‘Player’ System powers which help him rampage through dangerous monsters with ease, he can keep growing stronger by killing monsters and winning points. The missions are important for Hunter’s growth and we see Sung Jin Woo become more muscular and taller with every mission.

His confidence becomes unbeatable and he turns into a Demi God! His powers and abilities are something that is never seen in a human being, this is why you should never bully a frail guy. He might return with monster-controlling powers to get back at you.

Sung Jin Woo’s speed, stamina, strength, etc get maxed out as he keeps leveling up, there are no other hunters who are on the same level as him. Even people who have been S-Rank Hunters for decades have no chance of defeating him, his powers are too overwhelming for them.

Sung Jin Woo is becoming the strongest S-Rank Hunter in the series, with his powers he defeats the new Monarch of Shadows. This is a feat no other hunter was able to achieve before, he is the only player who was able to put down 3 Monarchs! That’s got to be insane for a single guy. Sung Jin Woo’s powers and abilities help him clear the S-rank dungeon alone and he has also completed plenty of A-rank missions on his journey. Sung Jin Woo becomes an anomaly, someone who has mastered the powers over Shadows and necromancy.

Shadow Monarch: Gaining the powers of the ‘Shadow Monarch’ was the best part of his journey, as it makes him a literal god in the series. Sung Jin Woo’s Shadow Monarch can help him to awaken the dead monsters into his loyal soldiers, he can extract shadows of his dead enemies and use them for his army, and control the Strong Shadows with his powers. He becomes a vessel for the Shadow Monarch like Naruto is to Kurama, and this helps him gain insane powers.

He becomes the strongest in every aspect of Solo Leveling graphs, his physical strength can take down monsters with one punch. He can block attacks that would kill normal hunters and one of his best skills is the healing powers. He can heal at a very high speed even if the injuries are serious. He emits confidence that would make his enemies nervous and he makes sure to assert his dominance in the fight.

Quicksilver: Normally being an S-Rank Hunter Sung Jin Woo has lightning speed, but if he wants to take it a notch up then he uses the ‘Quick Silver’ ability which increases his speed by 30%!

Bloodlust: One of the coldest Sung Jin Woo powers is when he uses Bloodlust to instill fear in his enemies, this move paralyzes his opponent with huge fear. Imagine how terrifying it must be to be paralyzed when your opponent has insane powers.

Rulers Authority: With these powers, Sung Jin Woo can restrict or stop the movements of his enemies, he uses the power of telekinesis to do so.

Dragon Fear: Sung Jin Woo uses Dragon Fear to emit a scary roar, a loud noise that is enough to terrify strong monsters that are weaker than the monarch level.

Shadow Exchange: This ability is like instant transmission; it allows Sung Jin Woo to travel to different locations using a portal.

On the battlefield Sung Jin Woo is a threat to enemies, he is like a monster to the monsters. He has full control of the battlefield and can replace his injured soldiers with his stored shadows. The injured shoulders are levelled up by the power of the monarch and healed. He has a lot of powerful abilities in his arsenal, by the end of Solo Leveling Sung Jin Woo becomes the strongest human being on earth. A Hunter who scares away the strongest monsters, he was able to even defeat the Antares solo.

The system breaks because of Sung Jin Woo and he passes the 100-level mark! In terms of Powers and Abilities, Sung Jin Woo is humanity’s strongest soldier and a literal God.
