In the last chapter, we saw Higurama Hiromi unleash his Executioners Sword and Sukuna being impressed by his powers. Poor Choso was doubled fisted by Sukuna and Yuji is just sidelined by him. Sukuna’s interest peaked in Higurama’s powers and he went as far as to compare him to Satoru Gojo! The English translations for Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 247 are out and it has saddened the way things turned out.

What happened in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 247?
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 247 is called “The Decisive Battle in the Uninhibited, Demon infested Shinjuku”, it starts with Sukuna wondering about Higurama’s domain amplification and what is it about Higurama’s talent that stands out so much. Sukuna talks about how Higurama is a genius to use the domain amplification similar to what he did against Gojo, he feels that the lawyer is working at a genius level like him. “HIgurama Hiromi Right?” says Sukuna before he unleashes his powerful curse energy. Yuji and Higurama are shocked by the prowess, suddenly the debris around them starts flying and Yuji and Higurama try to avoid it.
Higurama charges straight at Sukuna holding the executioner’s sword, he swings it at Sukuna but then gets disrupted by the brat. Yuji unleashes a strong punch at Sukuna but the King of Curses stops his attack lightly with two of his left hands and then uses his right one to unleash Dismantle at Yuji’s torso. The attack is powerful and Yuji’s torso gets chopped in cubes from the left side. Sukuna tells Yuji that he is boring and he isn’t interested in someone like him, Sukuna jumps back on a building debris as he bombs Yuji away.
Higurama chases him and attacks him with the executioner’s sword, but Sukuna dodges it with his insane speed. Sukuna sucker punches Higurama in the face, the lawyer tries to pierce through him but Sukuna dodges the executioner’s sword once again. Sukuna jumps out of Higurama’s reach and turns upside down in the air, he says “Scale of the Dragon, Twin Meteors” and attacks Higurama with a Dismantle. The dust clears and we see Sukuna asking Higurama to heal himself, then we see Higurama’s right hand has been chopped off because of Sukuna’s attack. We see a lot of Gojo parallel panels off Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 247, Gege loves to repeat his style from time to time.
Higurama wonders if what he did was enough to beat Sukuna and if he failed with his resolve. We see that Sukuna’s dismantle now slices off Higurama’s only hand holding the executioner’s sword! Higurama is on his knees bleeding in front of the King of Curses, sukuna says to him that the next thing that gets sliced will be his head. He makes a very interesting statement and asks Higurama to heal himself with the reverse cursed technique if he knows it. Sukuna’s so evil that he asks him to heal himself or this will be the end of his life, the Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 247 is just Sukuna playing around with the jujutsu sorcerers.
Did Sukuna kill Higurama in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 247?
After his hands are chopped off by Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 247, Higurama Hiromi uses his curse technique and we see him develop a right hand with his curse energy which helps him hold the executioner’s sword. He catches Sukuna off-guard and the sword stabs Sukuna through one of his palms. Higurama is shocked that he made contact with Sukuna’s body, but then we see that Sukuna had already severed his hands before the sword pierced it! He teases Higurama saying that’s a nice shot, we see a flashback of Higurama and wondering that his role in this is over.
We see Sukuna slicing off Higurama while Yuji sneaks behind him, watching Higurama Hiroi in his final moments gives Yuji a flashback to Nanami’s death. Similar to Nanami’s last words, Higurama says “I’ve done what I can” before he dies. Rest in Peace Higuram Hiromi, you were a real one!
An enraged Itadori Yuji screams “I Am a Jujutsu Sorcerer!” and we see him holding a fragment of the Executioner sword and trying to stab Sukuna’s back! Will Yuji be able to kill Sukuna or at least injure him? We are not sure about that as Sukuna is powerful enough to dodge this.
Is Choso still alive in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 247?
Choso was treated like a rag doll by Sukuna in chapter 246, he got pierced through his torso by Sukuna’s hands. We saw Yuji holding Choso but we didn’t see him after that, so what happened to him nobody knows yet. In Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 247, amidst the fight of Sukuna vs Higurama and Yuji. We see Piercing Blood attack at Sukuna which he pushes away with his hands, this had opened an opening for Higurama’s attack on Sukuna.
Sukuna realizes that it was the Death Paintings attack that was fired at him, he feels Choso is a stubborn being even after being dragged around. This attack at Sukuna explains that Choso isn’t dead in Jujutsu Kaisen, some fans thought that it was an attack from Yuji who wanted to learn it from Choso. But now it’s confirmed it was Yuji’s older brother Choso, the Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 247 was full of surprises and twists exactly what the author loves.
